It is with great pleasure that I announce the appointment of Grant Smith to the position of General Manager of HHP.
Grant will start with us on 1 September 2010 and will be based in Melbourne, reporting to the Group General Manager, Home Hardware Products.
Grant brings to this role significant experience working across channels, having looked after (directly and indirectly) all the major Australian and New Zealand non-hardware retail players. He is a strong leader with an impressive track record of delivering results in a tough market.
As General Manager at Kodak, Grant had direct line responsibility for Sales, Marketing and Product Management. Grant implemented data driven (resources included Aztec, Nielsen, Millward Brown etc) sales and marketing strategies based on consumer wants and needs. These strategies were tailored by product and channel segmentation.
